“Present Like a Pro” offers the knowledge, skills, and abilities you need to give effective presentations.  You will learn proven techniques for planning, rehearsing and delivering powerful presentations.  Further, you will receive expert feedback from your instructor as well as insights from your classmates and you’ll go home with a videotape for future reference.

Present Like a Pro II

Participants who have attended “Present Like a Pro” are eligible for this advanced class.   Each participant is asked to prepare—in advance—a 10-minute presentation.  This class is more of an interactive coaching session than a lecture and focuses on managing stage fright and maintaining composure in front of any audience regardless of the size.  Voice and body language are explored as an effective communication tool.  Key ways of adding maximum impact to any presentation are discussed along with ways to prepare quickly and confidently.  Each participant is videotaped in order to provide instant feedback on his or her strengths and suggestions for improvement are recorded for future reference.

Permit Me to Introduce You to Yourself

Albert Einstein estimated that most people use less than 10% of their brain capacity and more recent studies suggest we use even less than that!  This course focuses on strategic areas to help you perform to your potential.  You will learn:

  • how to become a ‘goal getter’ rather than just a goal setter 
  • how to remain calm in the midst of chaos
  • how to improve performance 
  • the value of visualization through exercises and instruction on specific techniques that provide access to your inner resources 
  • how to accomplish your reading goals, in the amount of time you have, by simply accessing specific brain states 
  • how to remain resourceful in stressful situations
  • how to use mind mapping and other memory strategies that will help you avoid the embarrassment of forgetting people’s names and help you remember where you put your car keys! 

In addition, you’ll have the chance to practice non-verbal communication strategies that will help you partner more effectively with a wide variety of people by building rapport, creating synergy and resolving conflicts.  You’ll walk away with strategies you can implement immediately as well as with resources for further development.
