Before starting her
own business, Linda worked in corporate America for fourteen
years in Sales and Marketing Management with Fortune 500 Companies,
including Pitney Bowes and Bristol-Myers Squibb. There she
became familiar with the challenges of an era when down-sizing,
rightsizing and reorganization became the norm. During the
same time, dramatic change was imposed upon her life when
her son was diagnosed with multiple disabilities. Now, as
the president of The Barrett Resource Group, she combines
her business background with her formal education and real
life experience to help businesses and associations thrive
through their "organizational metamorphoses".
With her unique combination
of talents, life experiences, and contagious belief in the unconquerable
nature of the human spirit, Linda captivates audience members and helps
them realize how they can creatively conquer the challenges of change,
transform obstacles into opportunities, juggle their roles and responsibilities,
build winning relationships that last and perform to their potential.
One of the keys to Linda's
success is the research she does prior to every engagement to ensure
that her message is timely, relevant and valuable to her audience members.
A graduate of Trinity College, hailed by US News and World Report as
the #1 Liberal Arts School in the Mid-Atlantic region, Linda is often
referred to as a modern day renaissance woman, a whole mind thinker
who helps others to help themselves. Combining her experiences as an
entrepreneur, educator, performer, musician, athlete, mom and leader
in her community, Linda is described as a cross between Victor Borge,
Mark Russell, Barbara Mandrell and Mother Teresa.
